Digital Marketing Glossary
Plain English definitions of every digital marketing term your business needs to know. From SEO and Google Ads to AI search, AEO, GEO, and beyond. Built for business owners, not marketing graduates.
Why Does This Glossary Exist?
Most marketing glossaries are written by marketers, for marketers. The result is a wall of jargon that explains one acronym using three others. Business owners shouldn't need a marketing degree to understand what their agency is actually doing with their budget.
Every term in this glossary is written in plain English, with a concrete example of how it applies to a real business outcome. We've also included the AI search terms that are reshaping digital marketing in 2025 (AEO, GEO, AI Overviews, prompt visibility) which most existing glossaries don't cover yet.
If you'd like a human to walk you through what's relevant for your business specifically, that's what our digital marketing consultancy does, in Dubai and in Essex.
